Did you know that carrying a backpack the wrong way can lead to back, neck, and shoulder injuries? Let’s keep our students safe by practicing proper backpack safety!
Here are a few simple tips:
✅ Make sure your backpack weighs no more than 10-15% of your body weight.
✅ Always use both shoulder straps to evenly distribute weight.
✅ Adjust the straps so the backpack sits snug against your back.
✅ Pack the heaviest items closest to your back.
✅ Clean out unnecessary items regularly to lighten the load!
