On Tuesday, September 9, residents of the Carlisle Community School District will consider renewing our voted Physical Plant and Equipment Levy (PPEL) and adopting a Revenue Purpose Statement (RPS). 🗳️
More than 85% of Iowa school districts rely on a voted PPEL for financial support. This levy generates funds that can only be used for infrastructure and equipment repairs, purchases, and improvements. It must be renewed every 10 years to remain in place.
An RPS guides how school districts can spend revenue from the statewide one-cent sales tax fund, known as SAVE. Families are invited to join us TONIGHT for Instrument Rental Night, where students can get set up for a great year in music. Our staff will be on hand to answer questions and guide you through the process. 🎶

We are grateful to Prairie Meadows for their generous support of our schools! Thanks to a $50,000 grant, our middle school will soon be equipped with wireless door locks that enhance safety for students and staff.
These new locks allow for secure entry and exit, remote control access during emergencies, and panic locking from inside the classroom. The ultimate goal is to equip every classroom with state-of-the-art wireless locks, providing immediate lockdown capabilities in emergency situations.

Iowa Family Week is coming up July 27 to August 3. During this non-contact period, there will be no school-sponsored activities, practices, or events. District buildings and offices will closed all week.
