In May, the Carlisle Community School District broke ground on the first of three construction projects that will be underway this summer. Ground was broken on May 4th for the resurfacing of the track, and the construction of a new concession stand/restroom facility at the football stadium/track complex.
The Hartford upper elementary building will see a complete re-model to include a new band room, kitchen, and lunchroom. The rest of the building will undergo extensive renovations to accommodate ever-changing student needs.
The high school will receive nearly a five million dollar make-over to include a Commons addition, renovated auditorium, kitchen remodel, improved restrooms, handicapped accessible features, new FCS room, and classroom remodels. All of this work is being financed with the recently passed statewide sales tax and district patrons will see no increase in property taxes. |
